It was worth a try since I got them for free, I'll start looking for another one then.. thanks for the input, much appreciated

Why wouldn't it work for you?
There are ways to drive more diodes off the driver but current max stays the same..
Company lists 55V as max though, unlike the sticker.

Interesting thing is the multiple dimming curves available..

Sorry I read wrong, the 3 watt LEDs I was getting, the max is 3.4, so with your calculations, i can do a max of 16 leds with that 1 driver, meaning 32 leds since I have 2 drivers:eek::D? Please correct me if I'm wrong

Driver says <60V, website states 55V..
16 should be fine (54.4V )...according to the sheet at 700mA

W/ the 30W limit..550mA is max current..
I assume the driver mA is settable..WHICH is an ??? atm how to do that..

Just states it "programmable in 1mA increments.. HOW??

Idk lol... I'm an electrical apprentice, I'm in school and still learning, but when it comes to leds.... beat my head with a stick and I'll still be lost.... I do thank you for all the help.... I'm gonna use these drivers and see how everything goes.

Sticker states 450mA so that should be its programming..
Green is your operating range. Diode cumulative voltage (add voltage of all diodes in series.) is your output voltage.
Stay in the green and all is good..;)

LED's are pretty easy, which might be what confuses some.. :)
It's just a diode that happens to emit light..
Constant current drivers just adjust voltage until the diode string reaches the set mA point.

Sticker also seems to state.. will dim to 10% and in a linear fashion.
Have no idea what that extra out is for..:)

I thought having that constant increase was better

It's a philosophical point..
Log dimming looks more natural but has the problem of 50% is not 1/2 power..
