I’m looking for an LED lighting recommendation for my tank. It’s an approximately 20x20x18h cube and is currently running a gen 1 radion xr30. The light is starting to get wonky and it’s overkill honestly.

I’m considering an XR15 gen4, a Kessil A360, or an AI light - I don’t want knock off brands. Any recommendations you could give, especially if you’ve used more than one light would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I forgot to mention - the tank will either be LPS or BTA focused so I’m not concerned with maximizing PAR.

xr15 all day, i had an ai prime over a tank of similar size, it was night and day when going to xr15

edit: or you can go with the new redsea reef led 90, cost effective way of getting similar power to the xr15

I had an AI prime as well but switched over to XR-15 ten folds better but also way more pricey. I am selling a like new AI Prime if you would like to buy one.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Question- can you still buy the non-pro xr15? I haven’t found one available through my web searching.

Maxspect RazorX.

Cost efficient, sleek, can run thru an app w the ICV6 module.

I keep a Magnifica, LTA, rbta’s, clam, and much more.

Way underrated light.

the AI prime is a great light but one may be problematic with a tank with that depth particularly if you plan to keep any sand level corals. I also would vote for the XR15 (I think they have a sale this month on them?). You can always add a diffuser if the light seems to intense even after dialing back the intensity of the LED from the app directly.
