Lights gone and diy underway.

All I can say is that I'm sooo tired of soldering. But it's worth it- those xpg's are BRiGHT!

Thanks. I wouldn't say that soldering is fun, but when I completed one of the led strips and the thing actually fired up it was a pretty good feeling.

The new setup, btw, is a 60" ati 4 bulb sunpower flanked on either side by a mounted heatsink, each with 24 xpg LEDs. I wasn't sure if it would be enough light at first, but now I'm seeing into caves that I didn't even know were there.

Thanks! The extra light was long overdue because I keep packing more sps into that skinny 125. All said and done, everything cost me around $1000 and I have something comparable to a Genesis (not quite as pretty) at a fraction of the cost.
