hi I'm new to this new forum and I'm looking to get some ideas for my new Reef tank that I'm having made
so the tank will be 1000mm wide x 700mm deep & 760mm high so I want to keep lps & sps corals and would like to go with leds but there's so many on the market its a difficult to pick the right one. I don't want to go halides due to the cost to run them, and ideally i want to just purchase one unit to cover the size of the tank and expecting it to be an expensive layout. any ideas would be much appreciated.

Welcome to reef to reef! Don't be a stranger! I'm not super experienced in reef tank lighting as I've only got the current lights i have now and i haven't even started my first corals yet but someone on here with experience will chime in!

Everyone has the “best” lighting options.

I used Nicrews cause that’s all I could afford.
I didn’t need all the toys, the corals just want light in the correct spectrum and intensity.

7 years later, still running, still growing everything included clams a Acros.

I’m sure any of the offerings you select will be fine.

Just keep in mind, lights take a beating over salt water.

Hi All
thank you for the welcome guys so my budget is £1000 and I've looked at the Atlantik icon which looks decent and will take a look at the others mentioned, and been a few years since i last had a set up which was a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft with halides which was good but it dominated the room and the wife wasnt too happy lol.

Look at the Reef Breeders 32 or the new Meridian by RB.
I run a RB 24 on one system and 2 RB 50's on my main.
I also run 3 xr15's on my 50.
I think the RB's would work well for 1 light and fit your budget.
