Those cheap bricks usually run hot-ish..so a sort of no to your question.Just a follow up to this. Am using this power supply and it gets noticeably hot. Temp gun says around 110F. My assumption is that it’s the difference in voltage/amperage?

Great advice @oreo5457, I am a fan of the meanwell power supplies. Great quality for the price and UL listed unlike some of the chinese power bricks.Those cheap bricks usually run hot-ish..so a sort of no to your question.

Thanks for all your help oreo! The new power supply is up and running. I have a multimeter on order - but for now it's running at 24V with no problems.Brown is ac line..so all the rest check.
Yes change it to 120.
Yes you need a meter to set the voltage.
