It almost looks like the tank walls separated...

That's the black silicone. I have no worries about the tank stability, it's just asthetics and I kinda fixed it with a razor.

Awaiting the wall to be cut for the overflow:

Those seems do look like the worst I've seen from AGE, sorry you had to be the guy it happened to.

Building the trim seems like they are going the extra mile to make it right though. Just curious, when you called to let them know about the problems, what was their response? Cause when a certain Canadian manf. built my overflow on the wrong side (yes, the wrong side of the tank), they tried to convince me to take it, and only gave me a discount on the rebuild (for which I had to wait another 5 weeks after it was already delayed for 4 weeks), when I threatened to pull my order. After that experience, I was thinking my next tank would be an AGE...but seeing your seems I wonder if their growth in popularity (and thus the volume of tanks made) is reducing quality.

Update time.

Life has been getting in the way of me setting up my new tank. It has been baby steps between work, kids, Stanley Cup playoffs and sleep.

The tank is now in place:

looking good bro! I really like how quiet that skimmer is. Looks very nice!

BTW. I think you should put some kind of barrier between that overflow and those power outlets. Looks like a disaster waiting to happen.

That will be done before they are hooked up to the circuit board

Update time.

I moved most of the 250 to the 135 this past w/e. No shock, but the contents of a 250g tank do not fit in to a 135g tank.

Yeah - looking good Rik - I hate aquascaping unless I get lucky and it turns out just right for some reason!

Nice! - I wish I had room for a cube. That makes it look a lot more like a cool reef shallow.

Looking back to your reefing roots: Did you start with Instant Ocean salt?
