He looks like a mob boss. Totally love this pic. Should get photo of the month award for this.
Truth is...

He is actually about 4th in line from being tank boss!!

Boss is Jeff the PBlueT (name is spelled Jefe)
Next is my Koran Angel
Then it’s the pink face wrasse
Then comes Pablo the Picasso
Then Harlequin Tusk (Aussie)
Then blue spot Toby puffer
Then bottom of the chain is 3 blennies (spawning pair of Molly Miller’s and a feather duster blenny)

Clown pair in acclimation box awaiting their forever home in my currently being built fish room.

Triggers have been my favorite fish since I started keeping saltwater tanks 30+ years ago. Here are a couple pics of my current ones, an Assasi, Sargassum, Blueline, and a Clown trigger.

I want a clown trigger but I'm pretty sure it would out grow my tank.
They get big, takes a few years. The longest I've had one was 4 years on one tank. Started in a 35g then after 8 months moved to the 150g, didnt outgrown in that time, but another 2 years it would have been to big.

Looking to get an either Niger or Blue throat, anyone has experience how they behave around corals?
Nigers chew everything and beat up other fish and eat CUC too. Blue Jaw is better bet, but may bite the hand that feeds it during maintenance lol.

The only thing I don't like about my triggers is since they started spawning, they claim large areas of the sandbed for themselves. They bury coral and pick it up and throw it out of their ways when they are ready to spawn. I also cannot keep clams on the sandbed because of this behavior.

My first trigger, a female blue throat.

Seriously considering getting a male

Well, like my post above says, I’m considering getting a male to go with my female.

He arrived yesterday. Meet Pebbles and BamBam!

Found an old pic of the clown trigger i had in my 300 gallon in AZ. He was about 10 inches when i moved in 08. Mom has him now and says he is even bigger about 13 inches. Have a 75 gallon FOWLR display now. Looking to get another when available.
