Awesome look, love it... what did you use to take that pic...Camera/Lens?
iPhone 7 with polyb lab clipon. Using both the 15,000k and 20,000k filters. Really hard to get an exact replication from what it looks like to the eye, but it’s pretty close!

Lol sorry, hammer rock does sound a lot cooler

@Thespammailaccount you’ve got the right idea. Lovin’ your pieces!

I’m pretty impressed with the size of the hammer coral that I purchased. It came in today and it is massive. I REALLY wish it was branching. It’s so much bigger than my other pieces, and isn’t really attached to the rock work which has me nervous. But I just got it and I’m terrified to frag it  Finally have my blue hammer though! And I’m getting my gold rainbow on Monday. I can’t wait to continue sharing with you all!! ;Happy

I also bought a torch since it was $30 a head. The new torch definitely doesn’t play nice with my other torch though. It immediately retracted when placed with the other torch.

A local shop has single heads of gold hammers, like yours. They are being sold for $170. That seems quite steep to me. It’s a gorgeous coral, and I’d love to have it, but I don’t know that I can justify it at that price.

Do you mind sharing what I should expect to pay for one?

That did sound a bit on the higher end, atleast of what I personally would pay. I actually bought mine from a fellow reefer who fragged his so couldnt give you a fair estimate, maby someone else with more insight could chime in?

A lot of LFS’s want to charge more for the gold, pink, and orange colors. I would honestly join a FB group for your local reefing community && ask if any has any for sale. I’m picking up a gold rainbow hammer for $50 and another reefer is selling pink wall hammers for $50. WWC sometimes has good deals, you just have to check their website from time to time and see if you can snag a deal. Also, try eBay! I’ve gotten some great deals on frag packs and like I mentioned before, I picked up a torch for $30 and some my wall hammer is about the size of a fist for $65.
