I know filamentosus is one of the more aggressive of the Cirrhilabrus wrasses. How do they do with Halichoeres, specifically a Yellow Coris Wrasse?
It very likely will not tolerate other Cirrhilabrus or Paracheilinus, but Halichoeres are generally bold enough that it should be okay.

They are about the same size and added at the same time, so hoping the aggression will be minimal. The filamentosus has been very active and eating already, whereas the coris wrasse is still hiding in the sand.

My wife got this guy. No idea what he is. In the last week or so his fins have started turning blue. He's ways just been an ugly molted color. He's also hanging out at the bottom more since he starhted changing. He's usually at the top 3rd of my 90.

He is not an ugly wrasse, anymore than an ugly duckling, that will turn into a beautiful swan. Mine was not any better looking than yours 2 years ago.

hope someone can help. I know it's an exquisite wrasse but could anyone tell me its geographical area or where is it from? It's colours are different to what I have seen in past. Thanks

Guessing African but looks a little faded from stress perhaps.

It's definitely of the Indian Ocean. I'll venture it's from the Maldives due to the red hood being less prominent.

Alright, now that I'm on the right thread. Got a new wrasse last week and not 100% sure on what it is. Any ideas? Will post more photos if needed.
