Hello, Starting a new tank up over the next couple months. I had to take my old 250 down due to us remodeling the house. Now that floor plan is worked out and a new space for a new tank has been picked, its time to start piecing together my next reef.

Tank is a custom built acrylic tank 44x33x24tall with a overflow in the back right corner. Stand and canopy are built to match. I got lucky this tank came up and was exactly the size I was pricing out other than its a 1" shorter and 2" wider. Close enough that the wife ok'ed it.

Lighting: Kessil AP700
2 36” Orphek Blueplus bars
36” Orphek Reef Day bar
36” Orphek UV/violet bar
Sump: Ice Cap 36XL with Par36 grow lamp refugium light
Skimmer: Ice Cap K2-160
Return Pump: Maxspect Jump 12K
Calcium Reactor: Avast Seabones 2
Ozone Reactor: Avast Mutiny
Wave pumps: 2 Ice Cap 4Ks controlled by a Hydros Wave Engine
Controller: Hydros Control 4 with ATO set-up/2 additional water level sensors/Co2 solenoid

Tank is getting picked up 11/27/2020 and stand goes to get refinished in a destressed painted finish by a local artisan. House remodel will not be finished until beginning of January, so build will be slow moving at first.

Marine Depot/BRS/Avast Marine works are getting a lot of love the Black Friday :)

Tank as it currently sits. The old sump n plumbing is all getting replaced everything listed above was ordered today. That was a bit painful and I think the UPS man will be a bit sore bringing everything to the door

Sorry not much to update. Marine Depot just informed me I have 12 boxes that will be here next week, Saltwater aquarium sent out 2 boxes with the Kessil and Orpheks, Avast sent out 1 box and last but not least My one box from BRS arrived yesterday.
So by the end of next week, I should have everything for the tank. Stands getting cleaned and new hinges ordered this weekend. Than it will head out to the refinished to get “antiqued”. While that’s happening I plan to buff out the tank and replace all the bulkheads with new ones.
There is a lot happening just not a lot of pics to show that off right now

Avast came through with a couple new awesome parts. Introducing my Seabones calcium reactor and the Mutiny ozone reactor. Slowly but surely the tanks coming together. Ignore the dust a debris, remodel in full swing!

Started working on aquascaping. Blue painters tap is the outline of the tank and overflow. Front and sides I tried to keep close to 6” between the rock and the tank. Lots of points and protrusion for coral placement, hopefully to help keep flow moving in the tank. First two pics got to close to the walls. I’m liking the second layout, last two pics. Please offer suggestions?

Finished, well mostly. Some touch up and will probably end up center between the corner and the love seat. Not quite the fade I wanted color wise, but the old weathered look is perfect.

Things have been slow going on the house remodel. Found a huge flooding problem in the crawl space before continuing on. Additionally $15k tacked onto the remodel

So tanks been at a standstill, and wrapped in plastic. They did finally get to run the 20amp electrical circuit dedicated to the tank today. Huge thanks to Parker Bros Electrical for braving the muddy mess under the house.

Still waiting, fiasco with the cabinet maker. Substandard finish and missing pieces have drug us to a halt on the remodel. Hopefully another couple weeks and I can get the tank wet finally.
