I’m still working on my sump pit. Here are some pictures of the sump during construction and just recently when I painted the rubber membrane on it. I built a house on a slab and had the builder and foundation guy build me a 4’ long, 4’ deep by 32” wide concrete pit. The hoses from 2 tanks run to the pit.
This is definitely going to need it's own build thread..... Feel free to start one NOW!!! Or sooner...

Thank you, Thank you, Just thank you. I was starting a corner tank build and was trying to figure out how to get a bit more anything to fit under the stand. This hanging/shelf idea is exactly what I needed. Thank you, If I'm ever in Calgary I'll buy you 8 to 10 beers.

Well you're welcome! That's what this threads all about and for your research, this is where I got the hardware....

https://mbs-standoffs.com

Amazing selection of aluminum fittings and stainless steel cables (I got the coated version) and real easy to install. Fittings are rated for 65 pounds each so in reality will hold a fair bit more.

Shelf is 2 1/4" pieces of acrylic laminated together resting on two pieces of 1 x 2" laminated pine screwed and glued into the side and back of the stand with one cable support in the front corner.

Fuge holds 5 Gallons of water so roughly 45 pounds.

Some very impressive, immaculate, color coordinated (Bud Lighto_O), and absolutely HUGH sumps out there. Wish I had more room. I had to cram mine onto a 36" x 36" footprint. I DIY'ed it (& it looks it) out of an old tank. Not much to look at but it is effective.
Now, for your musical entertainment, let's all sing ;Singing, "The macro in the sump goes round and round."
