After 25 years with a Jaubert Plenum, three days ago, I converted to reverse flow undergravel filter with 2” of CaribSea “Special Reef Grade” aroggonite.

Update of my newer tank, @ 11 months. Since the last pic, I've added a T5 hybrid fixture and ozone generator. Also some coral frags and a few more small nems. The 21 ocellaris clowns are all getting bigger and although they love to bicker, at this point they are still 21 in number with everyone eating and no one looking like they're being severely harassed.

Here are two iphone FT shots. First is with an orange clip-on filter that I usually use, the second is without. Only the iphone sees it this blue, it looks much much whiter to my eye, and closer to the first image.
