thanks for the info! I am a little worried about the destructive part, as we plan to only keep it in a kennel until housebroke and then just a dogbed, and just bought all new leather furniture last year. @HowardJ02 , you really have me thinking about the mini goldendoodle, found a great breeder only 20 minutes from me, they are a little pricey though.

He is truly a great dog! I don't think you would regret one!

This is my 5 year old Turbo our Boston Terrier and the new to our family French Bulldog Ellie as of Monday. Got them in the "pen" so they cant run from one another.

I agree with the trainers statements completely. I have trained my share of dogs and worked with many breeds as a vet tech. Find out what will work with your household from a personality standpoint. Then go down from that list. Mutts are great dogs too.

Thanks for all the input everyone, great to see how many other members are dog lovers. I changed my mind after seeing everyone's dogs and getting your advice. I never even had a mini goldendoodle on the radar, but after reading about them, they are the best breed for my family. A little pricey but with the low shedding I don't have to buy another $500 vacuum for the wife, so that evens it out. Currently waiting for the next litter from a small family owned breeder and will be bringing home our new family member late April early may. We are all very excitied! Thanks everyone for your help, and keep sharing those doggie photos and stories!
