That Tool chest was $7500? Wowza! Who knew tools cost so much...even cost more than fish tank stuff.
Now I don't feel so bad when I buy a $269 gyre:-)

... and that's on the cheaper end. But, when it's your profession, I think it's worth it. Also, when you go to buy another box in 10 years and trade that in, they'll give you more than you paid for it!

I picked up my KRL1033 up for $3k. That box new was $11,600.

$7500 is just a start. Most tech invested way more for their tools 30K or higher.Not only hand tools,air tools and electric tools,but they also invested in diagnostic equipment

Man, that's one heck of a wood shop!
Gotta love that, you can make anything with the wood and a shop like that.
Only thing you are lacking is a bit more space.

I know there's a lot of DIYers on here... you almost somewhat need to be in order to dive into this hobby.

• Whether it be building your own tank/sump out of glass or acrylic.
• Building your own stand out of wood or welding one out of steel or aluminum.
• Plumbing your own tank.
• Cable and wire management etc.
• Building your own or modifying light fixtures.
• Designing/fabricating your own reactors, skimmers and other accessories.
• You get my point!

I love tools and use them heavily for my day job... there's nothing like having the right tool. So please share your tools, whether it be hand tools, wood shop, metal shop, CNC, etc.

If you know me on here, you know I'm somewhat organized and meticulous.... and my tools reflect that. Here are some of my drawers from my work box. I actually take these pictures from time-to-time for insurance purposes. I was taking them today and it got me thinking it could be fun to use them in a thread like this.

Wow... I never thought I'd find someone that has the same level of Snap-On obsession as I do. Very impressive. I only have 2 pics of my box on my phone now, but I'll share what I got. Nice stuff!

If any Snap-on dealers are in this thread all they're seeing is...truck payment, mortgage payment, new jacuzzi. I know I've made some mortgage payments for the Snap-on guy but my tool box looks nothing like these.

Yeah, they are definitely NOT cheap at all. I have a really good relationship with my Snap-On guy, so I do get deals. You can also haggle with them or make package deals... still expensive though. I've been buying tools from them for over 20 years, so unfortunately I think I am immune to the price lol. I sleep better at night knowing that the tools are for my profession and they will be with me the rest of my life. Whatever it takes, right hahaha.

Hey i agree, I cringe when I need to borrow a tool from a buddy and it's from harbor freight, I go for the sales too, but usually it turns into me looking through the flyer like "$30 off 3-pc brass drift set...I guess I need brass drifts" I'll take em.
