Wow, bad advice and misinformation. Stay away from that store. They have no idea what they are talking about.
To play devils advocate lots of old-heads in the hobby still suggest not quarantining "because of the stress". I think its just a nice excuse for people that want to justify not dealing with QT.

The chocolate tang, no, unfortunately. The tomini didn't eat the first day, but has been warming up to it. I definitely think the tomini was just stressed. Has been eating as of past 2 days, so a good sign, I'd say. Thank you!
That is a good sign. I do recall a person on here having a similar issue with a yellow and purple tang in QT. One had a great appetite, but the other wouldn't eat. They eventually set up a second QT to house the fish separately and both started eating very well. It might be wise to quarantine tangs separately if you have issues in the future. (It may or may not help, idk)
