+1 on the AI Prime! It's great for the Evo. And I find that having the hood off increases the PH in a great way!

Good point about the PH, which also affects oxygen lvls, many nanos don't have skimmers so good gas exchange can be lacking, add a lid and you are potentially making matters worse.

Honestly the holes for the feeding and power cables are more than enough for oxygen to flow under the hood. Taking the hood off should not be changing pH by any significant amount.

anyone with any experiences with the Orbit marine LED? Thinking of upgrading my stock light on the Evo to the 18-24" Orbit Marine LED. Tank is currently just some BTA, Shrooms, and a Kenya tree. Not planning to go SPS.
