Light for Fluval Evo 5 Gallon

Hi there,
I am looking to upgrade the stock light that came with my Fluval Evo 5 gallon tank. I have a neon green montipora digitata, pipe organ, Green tip cristata and a rainbow bubble tip anemone.

I don't have much room above my tank (2 inches) so i need to keep a slim profile. Also if like to stay around $100 or less if possible.

Would this light be sufficient for healthy coral and anemone grown etc. I would be getting the 13~23 model.

Or if you have any other suggestions I am completely open.

The 13"- 22" model is for planted tanks, not reef. The spectrum is likely very different.

The Kessil A80 is a good option.

Thank you. Wouldn't that light need to be higher than 2 inches from the tank top? In addition I would like blues etc to bring out the colors.

Only two inches above the water line? Whoa that really low. The good thing about the A80 is you can program the intensity very low. Kessils have some of the best spectrum blending on the market, so yes blue is definitely achievable there.

Anything you place 2" above the water line you're going to have to keep an eye on the fixture due to moisture and salt creep.

I use a current USA LED over my fluval spec V reef and it works great. Definitely worth looking into it.

Also, the stock light sits about 1" from the top of the tank "lid".

I’d go with a a160 since your doing some sps

I don't think the a160 will fit above my current setup. I only have 2.5" above my hood.

I have been told to use the fluval nano marine light but I don't see how to attach it without removing the lid which I cannot do, evap is crazy as it is. I need to add 10 ounces of freshwater as it is......I need a light for this tank without having to remove the lid! Anyone know of something that will work email me at thjhiggins1 at Gmail dot com

You can use a heat gun or something constantly warm to weaken the glu then use something thin like a razor blade slideing it between the plastic and glass carefully
