I'm a longtime freshwater enthusiast and have finally decided to set up my first reef tank. The tank I have is a 32.5g Fluval Flex.

I plan on keeping corals, starting with soft coral, but I want to have the option to grow both LPS and SPS down the line. Since I don't want to buy lights twice I'm going straight for the light that can grow everything I might want to keep

What lights should I look into?

Do you think one AI hydra would be enough? I was looking at two AI primes.
depending how you mount them, 2 primes would work, but the dimensions of the flex make it a hassle to mount or orient the primes. i recommend the hydra 26 or 32hd.

An AI Hydra 32 is just two AI Primes sort of welded together. Two AI Primes would be better because you can space them out better. But they would cost $70 more. It depends on what you want. If you want uniform light distribution, a series of Primes would do better. If you don’t get enough light for demanding SPS, you can just toss in another Prime. I have a Prime refugium light for growing Chaeto (algae). I have had a number of refugium lights and I really like the Prime. It apparently gives out plenty of light and it is quite reliable and controllable.
