Light out time for bristle worm infestation.

Just do a water change at 1am, why waste your time making the trap when you can just suck them out by the hundred? Where gloves though I've had my fingers swell before not realizing I had the bristles in my finger. It was nasty and took a couple weeks to heal.

I do agree they are good for the tank and reduce your feedings.

I have heard this works great
I've heard you can put a piece of shrimp in pantyhose and the worms will get tangled and trap themselves. It would take a lot of pantyhose but it might be worth a try to see how many you could catch at once and remove. I've never tried it myself though.

Crazy. That's just crazy. Best of luck, you could always call the Orkin Man.

Dangit man........ Where's the pics!!!!!!!!!

I have more than I want in my tank. I bought a CBS....he did nothing. Got a Sixline Wrasse...doesn't eat them. Got a Long Nosed Hawkfish. He doesn't eat them. The only thing that has helped me with them is my Skunk Cleaner Shrimp.

Why don't you stay up til they are covering the rocks a few nights a week and suck them out with turkey baster and use a trap. I tried the pantyhose trap, and it didn't work for me, but I was probably doing something wrong.

I ended up dreaming about bristle worms in my tank. And last night I checked all over my tank with a flashlight for worms. Thank you for inducing this paranoia.

It sounds like the panty hose trap worked. If you do that every night for a year then you should be good. Lol

Yeah pantyhose worked I didn't do it tonight cause well I wanted to see how many was still in there. Man this is gonna take a while. I am kinda scared to cut back my feeding to much cause I don't want a massive die out so I am gradually reducing my auto timer. Woke up at 1130 cause I programmed my radions to be all red at that time to see how many was left. Ahh man I got problem. I got problems.

I am completely in awe! I've never seen anything like that.
I am just amazed there is enough food in your system to feed that many. I'd just keep trapping and hopefully their numbers dwindle.
