Light question - from AI to Orphek ?

Hi Guys,

I just having a questions about my lighting on my 48x18" footprint tank.


Iam using 3 AI Primes since 1 year and I added 2 Orphek OR3 Bars Blue Plus 90 to them one month ago.

I can see that my colors r a bit better and the growth/calcium-need of the corals increased after adding the bars.
But maybe u know that feeling to optimize ur tank and the equipment all the time ? :)

So I think about to change the 3 Primes also to Orphek and invest in 2 Atlantik Compacts, latest 2021 Version.
Here in germany u pay 750-800€ for one Compact - so its an hudge investment for me.



What u guys think - will be changing the 3 Primes will lead to even better colors and growth of my LPS ?
(If the water parameter r good of course)
Any experience with changing full to Orphek out there?

Get a T5 hybrid fixture and incorporate what you have already

Hi Scott - thanks for the answer.

I had some T5 some years ago and i just not want to go back at the moment.
If i would keep an SPS dominated tank I would be consider this but for now I wanna stay at LED only for my LPS tank.
