I am setting up my 24g nano cube for soft and LPS to start with. It comes with the stock LED light which is 2 strips of white and 1 strip blue. Both controlled through separate switches but same power source. No sunrise/sunset mode. If i put the light in a mechanical timer to switch on both white and blue at the same time then will that be a problem? I may phase out with blue at night before switching off but problem would be the start when i wont be at home. Any ideas?

Which color should i keep on and for how long?

P.S. I am not looking to upgrade to something like AI prime at this moment.

If they have the same power source just throw them on a timer and be done with it. All on same time.....all off same time. It won’t be a problem for your inhabitants. Most T5 and all MH work like that.

Once you find yourself looking to upgrade to the prime you will be much happier :)
