So I'm coming to the conclusion i need better lights to keep what I want. Plus the lid that I have with the lights hold too much heat any way, struggling to keep it at least 80 with the highest at 84. A few questions. I have a 32 gallon the dimensions are 32x15x15. I was looking at the hydra32 HD. Would I need to 2 with my dimensions? And any other recommendations are welcomed please. Right now I have two of the fluval marine brand lights 1 stock and the other i added.

Just a suggestion. Look at the Reef Breeders Photon V2+ in a 24" or 32". Either one is cheaper than 2 Hydra 32 HD's and the wide array of leds will give better spread of light.

just like them up they definitely have more led coverage than the hydra. Would the 24" be good for my tank or Step it up to the 32"? Already spent money on the extra fluval light facepalm.

I think the 24" fixture set up on it's legs is enough for a 36" tank. Unless you expect to have high demand corals out at the extremes. That's what I started with. But my tank is 30" front to back and the first fixture just didn't light up the back corners when I had the front lit the way I wanted it. So I got a 32" for the back. I needed the extra width to light up around an extra wide center overflow which blocked the light into those corners when I tried the 24" fixture. The 32" does shine some light outside the tank at the ends.

Ok. My tank is only 32" and 15" deep. And the width from front to back is 15" also, but my filtration chambers are in the back so the middle section is even that. I want to be able to keep most corals without worrying which is what I'm doing now lol. Corlas like monties most lps and anemones and some sps.

Just checked them out and those would be perfect for the cube tanks. I feel like the photon with the more rectangle build and spread out LEDs is a good fit. Could get a second if I ever go bigger.

Noopsyche K7 Pro II. Other than controller that is kinda meh, these are great lights at much better price than AI, Photon and Kessil.
