Hello setting up a 180 72x24x24, I have some lights from a previous build kessil AP700 and Orphek OR3 Blue Plus strips.
I’m trying to decide if I should spend the $$$ on another AP700 or center the one I have in the tank and add a A160 on each side. Most of the rock work will be center in the middle 4 ft of the tank, which the AP700 should cover.
Will be mostly LPS and Zoe’s. And SPS sticks will be more center in the tank.
thanks
Zach

Well, the pair of A160s will almost be the same as another AP700 - so I'd be inclined to go with another AP700 (one less plug and power cord and it does give you more options with coral placement).

The AP700 units have been discontinued, so you may be hard pressed to find another one. The A160 option works well, or you could go with an AP9X unit. Completely up to you!

Personally, I don't like the 160 option. Those things are only 40 watts on full blast, and they would need to cover a 2x2x2 cube. The 360s would be better, or a AP9X.
