Hello hello!

I’ve recently started a 125 build. The tank is set, sump plumbed, filled with sand, rock, and water, and cycling! Now I need to figure out lighting. The setup came with 2 Kessil A150W lights. It seems to me that these will not be sufficient for a mixed reef setup (plus they’re just blue, and I like to have some whites in my tanks).
What are my best options? Add to the Kessils, or sell them off and buy all new? Looking to stay under $400.
Thanks!

Two 16" black box fixtures with 8" between them and 4" off each end would be about $200+ to about $300. A32" fixture is possible, but may not light up the ends of the tank as much as you would like.

I'm less familiar with your existing fixtures, but adding to them is a perfectly fine option as well.

Is black box the brand of this lighting?

I meant to include this info! 4’ wide. 2’x2’ high and deep. I‘ve only ever used LED’s so I’ll probably stick to what I know!
Your dimensions would be a 129 gallon and hybrid would be ideal but a pair of Ai hydra 26 would work well as would kessil 360 we

Ah... no. Black box is a basic style of inexpensive fixtures almost always made in China. There are a number of brand names. Mars Aqua, Viparspectra, SB Reef to name a few. Probably the best place to look for them is on Amazon or Ebay. They are perfectly good fixtures and will grow coral.

Gotcha! I’ve been looking at the viparspectra 300w’s. Thanks so much!

I’ve got two ai 16’s on my 55 g and I love them! I’ll keep them in mind!
In that case add two prime HD and use all 4. Prime Hd sells for $150 ea average on R2R marketplace
