Lighting Question

I’m possibly opening a can of worms here, but a question:

I am setting up a 40 gallon breeder. Hope to have soft corals. What light (short of a small star) should I get? To complicate things, hanging light from ceiling is not an option- must attach to tank or possibly wall. I look at BRS & TSA and there are many expensive options, but maybe these are not needed for soft corals? Amazon is much cheaper, but I suspect that you get what you pay for. Suggestions?

For soft corals, intensity is not a big concern, you just want something with a solid spectrum that's easy to control. These are options I would recommend you check out, which I have seen others use with success. These are also powerful enough to grow stony corals as well in the future if you so wish, without breaking the bank. There are plenty of other "fancier" options that I can also recommend if you wish, depending on your budget.

IMO any led light of at least 100-150 watts would work. I also like nicrew brand
