Hello,
I have 2 salt water aquariums: a 28 gallon which has pulsing Xenia, mushroom corals and a couple of clown fish. That tank has a HOB protein skimmer and is doing fine. My wife has a small 10 gallon aquarium in her office which has mushroom corals and a couple of clown fish. It has a Hydor HOB protein skimmer with an inexpensive LED light on the tank. My problem is that when I put any pulsing Xenia's in that tank they will not live. I am not sure if it is the light or not. The chemistry of the water shows that the phosphates are just a little high and the salinity is a little low but I am working on those. Could it possibly be the light? I was looking at putting a PAR 38 light on the tank and was wondering what your thoughts are.
Thanks
