I had an Eel, and Porcupine Puffer with mine. Basically anything that won't fit in his mouth.

What species of fish do you have? All of them (Lion, angels, grouper) Because most large groupers and angels will need a larger tank, stay from fins nippers (Especially triggerfish) and smaller fish that could be consumed.

I may be able to Id the angels.
The grouper is going to get 2ft+, I would get in touch with a local public aquarium that will take the fish in the future.

Before I broke my predator tank down and started over to go full reef, I had a 14'' lion fish that was my fav fish in the whole tank! I was sad to see him go but he went to a good home. I kept a humu humu trigger, grouper, a porcupine puffer and a couple of tangs in there with him. All of the other fish never bothered him at all (not sure if it was his size or not) just a word from the wise, these guys jump like dolphins so be careful with them. Good memories though, best of luck.

You will like the puffer too, ours would eat out of your hand and he loved it when you rub his head. He was kind of like a dog now that I think about it, lol. They do get very large over time though but a good choice and very easy to find and care for.

Ya, mine was always up in the left hand corner of our tank by the overflow. I think they find a place they feel safe and hang there.
