Lobo help

Ok so I've had this Lobo for a while now, after eradicating dinos from tank, it has been the biggest I've ever seen it....I just noticed it has this white slime coming off of it....can anyone give me a idea of what it is or what's going on?

I have seen it coming from the underside as well...

Does it come off if you use a turkey blaster?

I see a fair number of vermetids.....wonder if they are irritating it?

I don't have a turkey baster, but when I kind of pinch it it, it comes off fairly easily.

I would suggest another dip for it and posting up your exact numbers for Alk, Ca, Mg ect ect.

Will do tonight. Tank parameters are 8.4 alk, 490 cal, 0 ammonia, 0 trite, about 5 trate ph 8

Give it a day or two. All my lps shoot filaments to kill nearby algae, food, fighting ect.. with a lobo, id look for receding before you should be concerned. Other then that, looks fine to me!

Sps as well. Its probably something present in the water thats bothering it. Usually when they "puff up" to shoot their messential filaments, is to battle- from what ive seen

Probably not, just kidding. Never saw anything like that on a lobo. Are you sure it's a lobo of might you have bought it as a hillae? I kind of think it looks like hillae, which I've notice mine gets some slimy white stuff at night, more to the sides of the heads though not where the feeders are like yours.

do you feed it? I wouldn't bother dipping unless you know what your dipping for, you'll just stress it out.

That's another good guess. Is there any other corals near it? I've seen some lps sting eachother and sometimes that's what the aftermath looks like.

It's been the only coral in the bottom of the tank...it was sold to me as a orange juice Lobo...

The only coral that was really close to it was a frogspawn, a frag of birdsnest, and some exenia
