A piece of SPS fell on a lobo I have, right on the edge. The place where it was killed the tissue on the lobo. It started to spread, so I cut it off. After 3 days, it is starting to die/recede again. What can I do to stop this?

Does it look slimy or infected? An iodine dip or revive.

Is the recession just in the united spot? It may need to recede to heal. If it's over all, I'm honestly not sure.

IME it's generally been better to leave the coral to heal than cut them, but I haven't really cut a lot of them after an injury.

I have cut injuries corals also, although it's not always a good idea because you stress it out even more. I've had both success and tragedy doing it. I would definitely give it a dip and see if that helps.

I cut it again today. A very small amount of good tissue was cut off. I also dipped it in Seachem Reef Dip. My LFS did not have revive.

How are tank conditions? Recovery and healing takes nutrients (and stability helps too)!!! Double-true if it's a high-light environment.
