I keep my maritime lobsters tank at 55 degrees with his chiller! The lower temps are usually to keep their metabolism slow so they dont have to eat because they dont get fed in restaurant tanks usually!! Their ideal temp is from 13 to 18 degrees from what ive read!! But your right their are several species that thrive in warm water! It depends on the species, there are some warmer water species that will do well in the upper 60’s or lower 70’s, and there are also some tropical species, though those are spiny lobsters and you don’t often see them live in grocery stores. A lot of lobsters caught from like New York south to North Carolina and even northern Florida are clawed lobsters that live in fairly warm water.
