Keypad locks cure this. Internet enabled ones are even better. But at least hide a spare key in your garage and get a keypad remote for it.

They cure this but create lots of security issues. These newer "home" locks with keypads are junk and to make installation easier, they use parts that are made with cheap materials and can easily be forced open.
I could sell you something that would give you keypad flexibility but be more secure but that would probably be cost prohibitive.
Sorry if these seem like rants. Just trying to add some facts to the discussion from a security technician.
I have one of those keypads and totally agree. They are convenient, but don't think your home is ever secure from a determined intruder. The vast majority of our stuff keeps curious mischief away and that's about it. A bit of background in forcible entry and physical security taught me just how quickly and easily i can gain entry to pretty much any building.
