Hi all. I've been keeping some from of reef tank for the past 17 years. It's gone from a 46 bowfront with an over the rim overflow into a kitchen trash can sump. Then it was a custom self made 70 gallon acrylic tank with custom glass sump. Now it's a pretty standard 125 gallon with a side drilled overflow into a modified sump. I've found myself in a jamb and am hoping that this group of enthusiasts will be able to help. I am moving from New Jersey to Arizona this summer and will need to greatly downsize my tank. I'm keeping my first fish " mated clowns" now 17 years old and probably a few others but will have to get rid of my larger tangs. I care most about them finding a good forever home but it would be nice if it helps pay for some of my new setup once I get situated. I will have live rock and some equipment that could go too. My current corals are nothing special but could be had too. I don't want to give it to the lfs because I'm afraid the fish could find themselves in a home that's not best suited for them. I've had them for around 5 years now and think they should get a fair shot to live into the 20-30 years that they easily could make it to. I'm pretty sure this isn't the place to make this post which is why I am leaving out some details " fish breads" believe it or not I'm trying to keep the post short. Lol. Current display shot, it's filthy, I've been super busy and feel bad but everyone seems fat and healthy.

If you are taking the necessary steps to transport your clown fish, why not the others?
I was going to try and take all of them but I don't think it's reasonable to set up a large enough tank in a small apartment. Believe me I want to. The fish were going to be moved into an 8 foot tank. I'm mostly looking at re-homing a yellow Tang, blue Tang, and epaulette Tang. The epaulette is amazing, eats right out of your hand and takes chin rubs. I'm not sure I will ever find one again.

Welcome to the forums.

IME, unless you can be patient, selling fish and corals as a hobbyist is tough, and you never usually get what normal sellers get for things.

I'd be looking for good homes for them and someone to help.... If you get a few bucks in the process, yay.

Ah... so it isn't the trip but the destination.

That's essentially what I'm expecting. If it's between a good home" experienced reefer and big tank" vs money.... I'll take the good home.
