I’ve been looking for a mantis shrimp for a little bit now does anyone have any websites or people they know of that are selling them. My local fish stores don’t have any and all online websites seem to be out of stock.

I would imagine maybe it's a temp thing... as it gets warmer they may become more readily available. I got mine from Reef Exclusive.

They have a Mantis box with some rock and some gorilla crab "snacks" too :)

@jackandrocco what species were you looking for? I had an N. wennerae from TBS, very cool critter, and doesn't require a large tank. I have more TBS rock on order, I'm actually hoping I get a mantis with my order.

I’m wanting a peacock and I’ve only found one in stock online but it may be gone by the time I get the tank cycled and everything but if I can’t find one when the tanks ready the N wennerae does look really cool. And it’s cool how they come with rocks and some snack as well! So you can order rock and you’ve got a chance to get a mantis on accident? That’s cool!

They have been on short order from what I see other members post, but they are available. I would contact some of the vendors that seem to have them and see if you can get your name on the next one they have come in.

I assume you have around a 40 gallon tank and will have a PVC hide setup for a Peacock?

I’ve contacted a store to possibly get my name on a peacock but unsure if that will actually go through so I’ll definitely do that. Yeah I planned on having pvc tube on one side and a sort of rock cave on the other side.

I do hear that there's some misidentification when trying to buy a mantis, so maybe ask for pics before you buy too ;) But sounds good, I've never had a Peacock but they seem very cool; good luck!
