Looking for Advice for plumbing

My RoDi and water change system are in my basement near my furnace and AC.

There is a small pump that feeds into some pvc. I assume this is some kind of drain.

Do you think I could feed the output of my AWC and rodi into this?

Obviously need to figure out a way it doesn’t back flow in to the pump. That clear vinyl tube runs up from the pump to that small piece of pvc at the top.

Does the ac and furnace have a condensation pit that the pump sends the water out? or what does the pump connected to the vinyl tubing go to?
 
Ok, so that's your ac/furnace condensation pump. water collects and the pump kicks on and sends it to the drain pipe. So in theory you could tie it into that pcv pipe. What i'd do just to avoid water going back into your pump is put check valves or anti drain back valves on the lines if your pump doesn't already have one built in. Grab the make and model off the pump and see if there's any info on it online
 
I would not use the condensation pump for rods or water change. those pumps aren't designed for continuous use like that, and when it fails your in trouble

I don't think they want to use the pump, i think they're asking if they can tie in their awc and ro/di unit into the pcv that the pump drains into in the ceiling. I may be wrong
 
Im an HVAC business owner. That looks like a condensation pump is pumping out A/C condensation to that PVC pipe and I'm willing to bet that the PVC pipe is just piped outside your house where it gets dumped on the ground. that pvc pipe should not be connected to your sewer due to sewer gas entering the home.

I would not recommend sending waste water from your RO to your condensation pump it will burn out fast with how much it will be pumping.
 
Just to clarify I don’t intend to use the pump to move it out. I was hoping a check valve would keep it from back flowing to the pump.

I was worried adding a check valve might cause the pump to not function properly.
