Hey all, looking for input on what these white spots could possibly be on my royal gramma. I bought it from the LFS 2 weeks ago and it had these marks on it. I was informed that the 3 grammas they had gotten in stock had jumped out of the QT tank. So I’m not sure if this is just damage or a possible bacterial infection? Looking to see what treatment if needs be would work best. U do live in Canada so medication is limited. Thanks all for the help!

You will need to post pics or video under bright white light intensity for proper assessment as they are prone to both flukes and ich

hey sorry, I had tried to upload a video but it would not play. I uploaded pictures now thanks!

Hey @robertchaput, I'm in Canada too, and was able to order the following medication without issues:

Copper Power, Metroplex - Amazon.ca
Prazipro, General Cure - Amazon.com
Nitrofuracin Green, Methylene Blue, Kanaplex, Neoplex - americanaquariumproducts.com

I really just ordered them proactively, though, as the ones shipping from US take a while to deliver.

Other thread answered. Please try to keep to one thread to avoid confusion

If it’s had the same spots in the same location, they could be missing scales. These take some time to regrow.

If the spots change location and/or increase in numbers, that indicates an on going infection.

Thanks for the response! All the spots along the body seem to have no changed and does not appear to have gained more. It’s right pectoral fin is missing its webbing and white around the base. No redness or puffiness and it appears to be swimming and darting happily. No loss of appetite. I have been keeping water clean/nutrients low to try and promote recovery but see no progress thus far
