Looking to get back in the hobby

Hello all. I recently moved to SC and due to what is involved in moving tank several miles to to new home in different state , I decided to get out of the hobby and have been out for several years. I have had several tanks over the years where 75gal was largest. New home has an area I believe would be great for at least a 125gal , larger I'm sure-HaHaHa, but believe a 125 would be big enough. Hence, my intrest has been peaked to get back into the hobbie. Before I left previous home I had a SCA 60gal rimless tank which I liked ALOT and find the rimless tanks much more astetically appealing. I have alot of old equipment such as Neptune, powerheads, pumps, LED lighting, DOS'ng pumps, ATO system, but sold tanks and stands before leaving previous home. Have always been a DIY'r for most part, but looking to streamline the initial new setup and looking for recommendations from group. I have always felt Cabinets as being most challenging part keeping plumbing equipment hidden and ease of maintenance key all while keeping focus on DT. It looks as tho SCA may have gone by the wayside so the WaterBox setups with included sumps and cabinets have caught my attention. Looking for suggestions from the group. TYI.

I agree about the rimless look. Check out Nyos tanks or Innovative Marine. Nyos 440 is 100 gallon, so not quite the 6 footer that you are looking for. But, they make a really nice simple setup with external overflow. Anything is probably fine except Red Sea.

Yeah it looked like Red Sea is alternative, but have never been fan of RS equipment i general. Thanks for the response

Welcome to the community! Waterbox and Innovative Marine are great places to get tank. Innovative Marine also has a section called blemished tanks that offer a bit of a discount, and so far several people (myself included) who've purchased off the blemished tank side have yet to find the blemish. It has to be microscope.

Consider a glass cages tank they are the best quality tanks imo they really do care about and put a lot of craftsmanship into each of the tanks they build

Also come to the reef show in Columbia in October you can get some ideas of what you might like serval lfs bring tanks from different manufacturers that you can buy on the spot
