I literally lost a fish. In my super tiny 13.5 gallon Fluval even. I did a water change last night and everything was fine. I cleaned it well. Sucked out a bunch of water and replaced and both were in there last night and now one is missing. My black ice clown is there but my regular occellaris is gone. He’s not a dried up fish chip on the floor either.

If that is an AIO tank check the rear sump compartments. This has happened to me before and I've found two fish swimming back there unharmed.

I had this happen in a 90 gallon AIO that I had about 15 years ago.

I looked back there this morning and didn't see anything. I have a lid, but not a lid over the AIO chambers. It cracked in two, so I just leave it open now.

You would be surprised how well a fish can hide in a tank between rock cracks. I literally go weeks without being able to find my royal gramma, and the BAM! There it is.

Look beside of your heater. Had 2 different clowns in 2 different aios do it.

Do you have a crab? Ive seen my emerald make something disappear in a few hours..

Also had a Yellow Watchman live in a filter sock for 2 days.

So I will check again when I get home. I do not have any pets. I do have kids if they count. ;) I have dwarf hermit crabs but nothing fancy.

I did not. They both ended up going missing and I only found one fish body. I have tore the tank down and put it back together as I moved, and still didn’t find it then. ‍♀️
