Hey community,
Recently took up all my real estate atop my scape.
Was wondering if yall can rattle off some names of some hardy low light acros as the few spots i have left are mid to low on the scape.
Thanks

Lookin for some fancier stuff.. i know smooth skins (lokani) will do well.
Looking for commonly traded “named” acros..
What else falls under deepwater/low light acros besides lokani.
Thanks for the reply

Oregon Tort does well in lower light. It may turn slightly green instead of the nice bright blue an oregon tort is known for.

I have one in high light that is a nice brilliant blue, and a frag in a low light area that is still blue, but has sheen of green(it's still blue, just not that brilliant blue they are known for).

RR Aussie Gold Tort reportedly looks it’s best in lower light. Maybe some who have kept it can chime in…

Also, I understand that many (all?) of the acropora carduus varieties do well in lower light. Tyree Red Dragon (and all other “Dragon” varieties), WWC Red Ferrari, etc. I’m testing this theory right now w/ the FarmerTy Gold Card.

I don’t think there’s much they (or any vendor) can do about sales tax. You could try another hobbyist…? Graham @gws3 might have it…?

I have one at the top under Kessil spotlight and it seems to be doing ok since January. Color is nice shade of blue

Ouch!
Mine is up top. Looks good and encrusting.
Will keep a close eye on it.

RRC Goldenrod and JF TNT prefer lower par…180-220. They are anacropora. Don’t encrust much either just grow branches. And are fast growers. I have nice frags of both. Also Aussie Gold frags for $20. It looks the same in 200 or 320 par.

Looking at your frags, OMG!
You’re gonna give me a stroke
And my wife will kill me
Maybe I can convince her, dad needs a really nice Fathers Day!
Lol

Red planet seems to do well for many people at different light levels. Can be anywhere from bright red to dark green depending on light.

My quark is what are you talking about when you say lower PAR? Are you saying 100, 200, 300? What did lower PAR mean to you? Do you actually know your PAR or are we just saying lower in the tank? If we are just saying lower in the tank what lights are you running on what size tank?
