Lower lights for more par?

hydra 26hds 10inchs off the waters surface full power with 30% whites it’s not the par I’m after as the tanks quite deep is it worth lowering them to 8inchs or will the blending lower the lights performance beyond the par gain or would it be like having 10/12 inch mount height on a shallower tank as it’s already blending spectrums through the water if not is a extra light the best option

Lowering the light fixture will help par be increased deeper, but spread will be decreased on the edges somewhat.
