Pretty much LRS exclusively; I do add algae sheets occasionally (supposed to be doing it daily but I miss more than not).

I feed Rods bc my LFS doenst carry LRS. Would love to try it but dont want to pay a premium on frozen shipping. Maybe 1x a month I throw some formula one pellets in just bc I have a jar. I do add some pieces of nori every few days too. Lots of tangs.

How many fish (say typical 3 or 4 inch fish) would one of these $20 bags of reef frenzy feed?

How long does one bag last you and how many fish do you have?

Thanks!

Old thread. Both good foods but lrs is as clean as you get using frozen. My numbers don't creep up like rods.

It would last awhile with little 3-4" fish

I've generally used Rod's (which I order online), but I want to try LRS. Found out there's a store about 30 minutes from me that stocks it. Sounds like it's time to visit a new LFS!

I also use an Ehiem auto feeder with marine flakes on vacation, but only if I'm going to be gone a week or more!

I've never really paid attention. One flat lasts us roughly a month with 10 or 11 fish I suppose. I've never really paid attention; I grab two packs when we hit the LFS. We feed 3-4 cube equivalents daily.

I really have no preference, but since I do a single large frozen order once a year in the winter, it’s usually Rods because LRS is harder to find. My LFS carries it, but at a sizable premium. Reminds me, I think it’s close to order time for 2020 lol.

I really like Rogger’s reef foods. Surprised more people don’t use it. I feed a multitude of others including Rods and LRS as well. Variety is great for fish.

In New Jersey there are quite a few fish stores within an hours drive. Can get any fish food I'd like. Tried them all. LRS Fish & Reef Frenzy is what I buy and travel an hour one way to get even though the other brands are closer. Rod's is somewhat watery and the chunks are smaller so LRS is first choice, Rod's second and Hirkari third.

Does anyone else’s skimmer stop foaming when feeding Rods? Mine goes AWOL for 2-3 hours every night after I feed. I just picked up some LRS to see if it does the same. Octo Regal 150sss skimmer btw

I use to use Rod's a lot but have since switched to LRS because Rod's always had the shrimp shells/molts in it and would scatter around the tank. No larger fish that consume the shells. Curious if that is still the case.

I also feed Rogger's and love it. My biggest issue with Rogger's is the way it needs to be fed via a "pouch" so the fish can pick at it. It's fine while I'm home, but I travel a lot and I need something that can just be thawed so it separates so it can be dumped in the tank.

Rods is definitely smaller so great for my anthias. For my larger fish it doesn't seem to matter. Though they all love Rogger's.
