Got this guy on Friday aclimated him for 1 and half.. turned off all flow when I put him in the tank and have even put rocks to try and stop flow from getting to him so he would stop bouncing around. also I piled up some sand in a mound and put a small 2 inch PVC in the sand. any suggestions on what I can do to get him to stick? As iam sure the hitting up on the rocks cant be good for him

Dig a hole in the sand and place it there.

I’ve tried with mine for the last 4 months. Guy hides. Floats around the tank. Sticks to the power head, yada yada yada.

Lta has turned out to be a real wild card for location. Still seems happy and eats. Just keeps doing stupid stuff.

I already told my self the next time he does it he’s going down the toilet.

My other nems do just fine.

I was doing that and he appear to get stuck in the rock work with the rock up against his face... I just built this seems to be holding him in place with his foot in the sand should I leave him here until he has a chance to stick in the sand

He doesn’t have a face...... let him remain stuck there and he will find a grip on a rock

LTAs are jerks. I will never get another one! [emoji23]
Mine bounced around for over two weeks, found a spot and then decided "nope" and went walking again.
He did so well at moving he is now in a friend's tank bouncing around like an idiot.

I just got one 9 days ago. He walks everywhere. The family and I love him. Always up to something.
Never had him loose.
I'm guessing he'll settle down once he finds a nice spot for himself. If not, we don't mind him visiting his neighbors.

Get the pvc all the way down to the glass and clear the sand from the middle so the LTA has bare glass to stick to. LTA's shouldn't be moving around once they find a spot they like.

Did he stick to the sand right away? I dont mind him walking around I just worried about him blowing around hitting up against the rocks. I plan on removing the rocks blocking him in the once he takes hold. Do you think that's a good idea?

Do they stick to the glass? and would 2 inch pvc be to big?

He came on a rock.
I "rescued" a crashed/crashing tank. I took all the rock, corals and frags, along with the anenome. They are all doing well in a new 75g fallow tank. He never went swimming around, but he has walked from rock to rock.
Can you lower your circulation down for a few hours for him?
