So I bought a LTP from my LFS about 2 weeks ago. It seems to be doing fine and looking good. However, I decided to move some rockets around on the other side of the tank and decided to move the LTP to a corner out of the way while I adjusted the rocks. Upon picking it up, the bottom felt bubbly, like air or water was between the skeleton and the flesh, it’s only on the bottom of the base, the rest of it looks good. It was also quite slimy.
plate gets fed 2-3 week. All other coral looks to be doing well, and the same for the small amount of livestock in the tank.
many thoughts on what’s happening? Thanks.

Not sure, but some plate corals can actually move themselves around by inflating/deflating their flesh.
