So not everything came out unscathed. I was blowing the rocks off, mostly to get the stuff away from the bubble tips and found something on the powerhead.

I was thinking it was a nem and slight panic ensued. Looking at the side, I’ve discovered that it’s Jetsam :( her tail is missing( most likely die to snails and crabs) but I could make her face out a little.

I have had her for quite some time( purchased her to go with the pistol shrimp who had passed about a year ago) so I am not sure if it was age or the salinity issue.

This brings me to three fish in the system. Sigh. I didn’t see her often but when I did it was delightful. Rest well girlie.

Salinity is finally at 1.025.

Nems still look crappy but we will let them recouperate. I do need to do a water change but will most likely wait until this weekend or next week. I have a commission and with the money from that I will get new salifert and Hannah reagents. No photos yet as the lights are still off.

But yay!

Now the battle of Cyano or whatever it is. Scared to do a waterchange and feed dinos but if the nitrates are high then the cyano will thrive. lol.

I am sure the increase was due to the goby passing and partially decomposing.

I need more CUC.

Who has a microscope that would be willing to let me ship a little of the gunk to for an ID? In case I don’t have anyone local?

I’m looking at this UV:https://a.co/d/fK2FXhu but can’t afford that and a good microscope.

No worries at all :) I’ll find someone. For now I’m treating like ostreopsis( as that’s what I had and it sort of acts like it) but it doesn’t smell the same… that’s probably strange but.

Anyways I’m trying to gather a list of things I need. A friend commissioned some art so I have a little money to spend. I know my test kits out of date, so thinking of grabbing a salifert nitrate kit and some regeant for the phosphorus Hannah. I need alk regeant too. I have a couple 5mil socks, I may grab a normal one as well just to help. I need to replace the bubble trap too.

I may browse the classifieds here and hope for a deal.

Been a lot going on, so haven’t had a chance to update on the tanks.

Dino’s still going strong. The nems seems to have mostly recovered and are doing fine now. Growing back to their almost normal size. I’m seriously thinking of Illini their barnacle but they do rest in there and have for years. Today I’ll have to scrape the glass and maybe get some pics.

I lost my alien, Zimm though. Mother in law moved back in with us, and took up the couch beside the flex. Of course I don’t mind that at all and it’s not her fault. But he was a pretty skittish betta and her sitting so close so often, and getting up and down by him, I believe stressed him out. He clamped and pineconed pretty rapidly. So now the tank houses only orange cherry shrimp which…. I’m not really satisfied with. The shrimp were meant to be Mac food, of which I no longer have. I may add some for the pallifina today. But then I need to figure out what to do with this tank.

It feels strange having so few fish and tanks lol. Maybe I’ll redo the 15 into a small macro algae reef. Wonder if my tiny skimmer would fit the back chamber without me having to modify the lid… LOL.

Grabbed a few pics. Maybe you can tell how the nems have recovered. I’m pleased with them.

Also, the shrimp tank with more yellow to the light, the 35 pallifina setup which is growing nicely, and then Nanakis 10 gallon paludarium. He ripped his caudal but it’s healing fine. No longer flaring at himself so that’s a plus. I just love how red he is. A nice classic color, very little iridescence here and there. *chefs kiss*

And my crypt is growing! It’ll grow faster emersed and hopefully fill that entire corner in nicely.

Did you find someone with a microscope or buy one yet?
Negative and negative.

Also my salt is supposed to be delivered today and I’m really annoyed. It’s 10:00 and it’s still not here. The tracking isn’t updating and it says by 2:00am, and that someone has to receive it. I’m not staying up that late :(

happy Saturday all.

No word from the shipping company the day of delivery, yesterday and so far this am. Yesterday I contacted Amazon and they told me they couldn’t do anything related to the shipment itself. I asked if that would mean basically I’m out the money I paid and they said then that if it says delivered and doesn’t show they would refund. I asked them what if it never says delivered? So they went ahead and credited me the gift card amount back.

I’ll probably find a smaller thing of salt (guess it was too good to be true lol) and then the UV sterilizer.

So now I’ve gotta figure out what one to get. I’ve heard some people have used the in tank ones (and I know it needs to be in the display as opposed to the sump) but I’m unsure which to actually get.

Good morning Bev, sorry to hear of your troubles, frustrating! As @Reefering1 one stated, I heard great things about the green killing machine as well. I hope you have a great weekend, don’t forget to stop by the #S#Smorgasbordrom time to time.

Ty whoever sent it I appreciate it!
