Hey all, I purchased 6 lyretail anthias, quarantined them, then added them to my display, as I have with ALL my fish. First 4 days in the display they were fine, they would come out, swim and eat.
Yesterday, noticed one just laying on the sand bed, still alive, but, just sitting there, short while later he was upside down and dead.
This morning, came down stairs, and 2 more, dead.
All were eating perfectly fine in QT and in the display tank.
There’s no known disease in the tank either.

How long were they in quarantine?

my first batch of lyretails (10) had 8 die within 2 weeks. My second batch had only 1 of 10 die. Go figure.

2 plain clowns
1 hippo tang
1 lavender tang

That's interesting. I recently had 3 Lyretails QT'ed, and finally moved into my 160g DT 2 days ago. 1 died. I also read that with some anthias, they use cyanide to catch them, and while they look physically healthy, their internals are slowly shutting down. This could also be the case.

Could be, all anthias are dead now.

you should only have 1 male. That could be the issue. I have 1 male 2 femals, and even 3 fat heads. All survived qt and tank.
