Isn’t it illegal to sell, possess, import, transport, or release most live caulerpa species in CA? Specifically mexicana and the rest of the “feather” varieties? Check out California Fish and Game code 2300

How old is this well I have 2 species that are ok
I am an environmental restoration/ law specialist and these are still standing. I just got rid of my Calurpa Prolifera because it grew too well. For sure would be a hard core invasive species. I always freeze mine before throwing it away to remove any chance of it spreading. TBH I think if you play dumb and this isn't linked to you no one will care.
