When I reconfigured my sump to accommodate both a skimmer AND a refugium, I realized I had to light it, too. Fortunately, I'm blessed with being cheap and with access to a business that manufactures emergency vehicle lights. (Don't ask, I'm not going to say who.) So I give you my kitbashed 30W refugium light, illuminated by SAE J845-compliant Police Red:

Don't worry, I'm going to isolate that power supply from the elements. (And I'm way below the ampacity of those wires.)

Too funny!

Do you have access to the police blues?

Make it a Cop tank! 😂
I do! These same lights operate in multiple colors and modes. I've chosen a non-flashing setting, at my family's request.

This was a stopgap configuration while i developed a more permanent fixture, but I'll be honest - these did a pretty good job keeping the corals happy.
