I got this from Fire Corals. It was named Tormenta De Fuego then renamed by Cornbred to Maleficent. The guy at Fire corals says they both got them from the same source. No idea if it's the same as the RR version but I know Cornbred said he renamed it because the similarity.
We will see how it colors up. It already has nice color at booger size.

I'm not sure if it's the same but who cares!
IMO it's a awesome piece what you have no matter the name.

Here's the RR colony,

Yeah that thing is crazy. No orange in mine just some red and green. It would be cool if it did grow all crazy like that. I would like to see some close ups of the polyps on the RR coral.

This is the Cornbred close up. My photo above is under 8bulb T5s all on. I took some Blue+ and under my BML actinic LED but can't get it to look like his even if I pump up saturation and other color sliders. Not without it looking too weird anyway. hehe

Tony told me he thinks his is a Monti or a Porites.

Yours is Nice but not a Mont/Or/Port

Yeah the RR piece looks smooth in the pics.
Mine is one of those corals that the polyps seem to stay out full time. Even when disturbed. When it came in the mail polyps were out.
