You are expecting everyone to be a computer software genius? I'm not, I will admit that, as much as I've tried to learn I can't grasp computers. Not everyone can. If you need your brakes done, engine/tranny rebuilt, diff gears changed, muscle car frame off restored, roll cage installed, 9 second muscle car built, CAT heavy equipment fixed, semi truck repaired, house rewired, or any similar done, that's no problem for me but I don't understand computers and expecting everyone to know how to do all this is ridiculous. Can you do everything I just mentioned and do it correctly? I wish I was as good as the rest at dealing with and understanding but I'm not, so I rely on others just as most people pay mechanics to fix their cars or plumbers to fix plumbingThe OP was just trying to protect the community, I respect that. He saw it and said something without trying to "out" the site , like was discussed. I confirmed his suspicion privately and now the mods are dealing with it at this point I'm sure. That being said , be thankful somebody cared enough to warn you . Its been happening a REALLY long time, I cant believe NOBODY but the OP and myself even knew ..... c'mon thats pathetic , to all the people who were wondering what antivirus to use , I would strongly suggest ESET NOD 32, as was mentioned. It is the end users responsibility to protect their electronic communication , period. Dont let your nuts drag out there folks. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure , correct.
As respect to the vendor, I won’t call them out. But could they at least weigh in here to explain? Some serious allegations that will scare people away.
You don't need to be a genius to realize the web is not a cushy safe place and install some anti-virus and ad-block software. - Former mechanic/fabricator, currently working in IT.You are expecting everyone to be a computer software genius? Only offering respect because I don’t like to jump to conclusions and I don’t understand malware that well. At this point, I’d just like to hear from them. Did they do it purposely? Were they hacked? Is it a misunderstanding. At least need to hear from them first. Why the “respect”? Just because they’re selling? I agree, some sellers/vendors would deserve a tiny bit of leeway. Based only on positive reviews.
Look, anyone, literally anyone can become a sponsor/vendor. Does that give them a license to rip off people? I don’t think so... F their r2r name, who cares? A thief is a thief

Thanks for clarifying. I’d like to hear from them for sure. I don’t buy corals online but I’d hate to see companies taking advantage of fellow hobbyists.People that DO understand it, understand that it’s simple coding, embedded into their site. And that THEY put it there. Not some “Boogyman”
I don't know why you would jump that conclusion. I'm saying if you use a computer you should have anti-virus and ad-block. And I'm saying you don't need to be a genius to do so.So what? Basically invite it? Because everyone should know better? Nor do they work in IT?
That's not true, there is less but that's no excuse to not protect yourself all the same. You should watch this video:Or you can buy a Mac and not have to deal with malware everywhere ;)
They didn't necessarily put it there on purpose. It's possibly in some library that's being used or put there by whoever they hired to do their website. Who knows.People that DO understand it, understand that it’s simple coding, embedded into their site. And that THEY put it there. Not some “Boogyman”

What I’m saying, as a small business owner, is that if they have embedded code like that into their site, they meant to do it. Why the “free pass” here?

They’ve already been called out. Their business has most likely been hit by lost sales. It’s their turn to explain. I’m sure most people won’t buy from them after reading this. There’s no free pass. Ball is in their court now. If they don’t reply, I’ll take it as a guilty plea from them. There’s no way that they haven’t read this thread. What I’m saying, as a small business owner, is that if they have embedded code like that into their site, they meant to do it.
