Mandarin infection ID and help

Just the day before he was happy and healthy and picking away at pods and then today I found him with this large white patch near his tail and his tail appears to be rotting and tattered. My guess is that he has a fast acting bacterial infection and I think it’s likely too late but wanted to ask for some advice/opinion. As of now, I do not see any other fish exhibiting any signs or symptoms.

I think it might be tricky to treat because you’ll need to add copepods in the QT with the antibiotics.

Neoplex usually works well for this, based on reading @Jay Hemdal ’s posts.

This fish based on the pic has a shredded tail and a victim of aggression and the spots likely bite marks and a product of what clownfish would do. What other fish are in with it?
These fish are tricky to medicate as they are sensitive to most and need a pod population in which they too dont do well in medicated water.
Chloroquine phosphate works well for them as does General cure. Copper is out of the question and general cure should do well with what it has currently

I agree with vetteguy - the shredded tail must have gotten started from some tankmate aggression. After that happened, it looks like there is a severe secondary bacterial infection. Miami Reef is correct. this is going to be very difficult to treat. I like to use Neoplex, but vetteguy prefers Kanaplex. In both cases, we are just guessing....

Thanks everyone for the advice! I cannot believe this all happened in a day. Unfortunately he did not make it. I have never seen any aggression, but sometimes my blue tang gets mad if the mandarin goes in the tangs cave. I think you all were spot on that a stress induced bacterial infection is likely what happened. Ugh… I’m gunna miss that guy. As you all stated , with the need for pods, add it any abx would be very tough.
