Mandarin transfer from QT

Heyo,
About a month ago, I picked up a tiny ORA Mandarin (just 3/4"). He’s been in my 5.5g quarantine tank this whole time(no meds, just observation and feeding). I’ve kept a steady supply of pods in there and have my own pod culture going. I plan to start up a second culture for Tisbe soon. He began eating TDO B1 pellets immediately and still goes after them every feeding. Right now, I’m feeding him 3–5 times a day, and he’s grown pretty fast, now closer to 1.25" long.

My concern is that the Id like to tear down this QT and replace it with a 10 gallon QT for future fish, but my display (38 gallons) isn’t fully mature yet. It does have plenty of pods from the live rock I used and what I transferred from my other tank. Is it safe to move him into the DT now, or would it be better to let him grow out in the 10-gallon for another month first? My main worry is the stronger flow in the DT and whether he’ll adapt well at his current size. Also I don't want him to fit into the mouth of my RFA

Any advice appreciated!

What do you have in your 38G Tank? I wouldn't worry about flow only Tank mates like wrasses clownfish pairs, etc.

The ocellaris clowns I have like to stick to their corner leaving pretty much 75 percent of the tank empty. There is also a lot of rock with plenty of caves/arches/tunnels. There is also a blood red cleaner shrimp in there who may pose a threat(he’s decently sized), though I’ve no clue if that’s a possibility. My future plans include: royal gramma, and YWG( or sail fin goby, or both).
